Samsung Galaxy S2: Detailed specification and features

Monday January 31, 2011

Samsung will reveal the successor to their highly beneficial Galaxy S handset at the start of February.
In fact, a marketing campaign with the ritzy band line of ‘evolution is fate’ is already doing the rounds. Samsung is shamelessly attempting to follow Apple’s trademark.

Slicker performance
There are certainly no major problems with performance on the Galaxy S, but at times it can falter and become a little hitch.

The iPhone seems to have an ability of slipping in and out of various applications effortlessly.

But that could all be about to change, as it’s believed the S2 will boast Samsung’s Orion dual-core processor, which means a snappier response and the ability to handle more demanding tasks.

Sharper design
Put this thing side-by-side with the 3GS version of Apple’s market-leader. Rumors says that the S2 will be slimmed down and packing a whopping 4.3 inch screen.

Better battery
The next Galaxy S has a longer battery life. For everyday use it’s flawlessly and will get you through 24 hours on a single charge.

After all, if Samsung are alter its design, incorporating a larger, more vibrant display, as well as an 8MP camera they’ll do well to lessen power use.

Faster updates
This is greatly inconvenient for an Android-nerd such as myself, but I’m not sure where the blame lies – phone manufacturers or network operators. The S2 is expected to come with Android 2.3 built-in (Gingerbread), but if you’re planning to stick with the handset on a 2-year contract, you’ll want those upgrades when they surface.
